Our Heart
High School can be a great time of life. Many look back to these days with nostalgic joy, others do not. Our desire is to be there for our students through thick and thin. We have a time just for High School (9th-12th) on Thursdays 7-9pm. We take this time to open God’s Word (the Bible) and learn accurately what it says, and how it applies to our lives in our own contexts. There are three Key Elements to Palos Bible Youth Ministry
- “Learning to Live” – Teaching and Preaching the Word of God
This takes place during our meeting times (see above) and during Sunday School on Sunday’s 9:30am.
- “Life to Life” – Mentoring / Discipleship
These are not always designated times of group discipleship and mentoring but we are constantly seeking opportunities to disciple new believers and mentor Christians who desire to grow.
- “Separate Lives Together”- Evangelistic Living
Christians are called to be holy and “Separate” from the “world”, yet we have “Lives” to live on this earth. We also live in a world “Together” with people who hate God. How are we to live with them? How are we to reach these people? The goal is to learn how to live evangelistically: to learn how to allow our lives to invade other lives with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We believe that when we put these three elements in this order we properly worship God and serve him. We pray this will be the case.
Come out and see us on Sunday Mornings and Thursday Nights. These will be fun and challenging times.
